Learn How to Paint MYSTICAL FAIRY CASTLE with Acrylic – Paint & Sip at Home – Step by Step Tutorial

VIDEO DESCRIPTION This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to paint this realistic fantasy image of “MYSTICAL FAIRY CASTLE” with acrylic paint. You’ll learn simple painting techniques that will help you to develop a realistic landscape with mountains, a lake and an island with a magical castle emerging from the fog. This landscape is being sprinkled with a bit of dust being blown by a beautiful flying fairy with long hair, large wings and a flowing dress. Visualize the sky to be a sunrise or sunset, morning or evening, dawn or dusk… your imagination will steer the evolution of this painting. With the dramatic light from the sky casting highlights and shadows onto the castle walls and the body of the fairy, the painting will come to life with the shimmering reflections in the water. You’ll learn how to add dimension in the landscape and castle with the use of properly placed highlights and shadows, and in the misty fog with a layering technique. You’ll also learn how to paint a reflection in the water using a repetitive process technique. Despite the painting being unrealistic in nature, it will look 3d with the realistic elements, and certain pieces will appear to pop out of the canvas with a real photo quality. With perfectly proportioned features in the fairy body and realistic movement in the wings and clothing being blown by the wind, the feminine person will look like she’s casting a spell onto the building with her spirited dust that she is blowing toward the fortress. The brilliant color in the sky, with the moody clouds, lets you know that the weather is perfect for this adventure. With the construction of the composition you’ll learn to paint this realistic looking outdoor dreamy image with a floating goddess and a castle fit for a king. Creativity is always encouraged, just have fun with it! This painting is sure to impress the viewer and compliment the décor of any room. Using only 2 brushes and 7 colors we’ll create this conversational masterpiece with a magnificent lively landscape and a charming fairy who’s excited about the day in front of her. So let’s get painting and let’s get sipping!

Have fun with the Pittsburgh Artist Studio during this HOW TO PAINT art lesson in this and other acrylic art tutorials posted here on YouTube. This is a fun art lesson for canvas. With Pittsburgh Artist’s help and guidance, anyone can paint. You can paint!
Want to see something? Just comment! Tell me what you’d like to paint, or what you want to know about art.
Acrylics are a fun and enjoyable painting medium that dries fast. I prefer ‘Simply Simons’ brushes or Princeton brand brushes, and I use Liquitex heavy body acrylic paint, Grumbacher, Winsor Newton, Craftsmart, DecoArt and Golden colors.
I love to teach people to paint in a supportive environment. Everyone deserves to have art in their lives whether through music or by the brush. It is a joy to be able to bring life to a blank canvas. Follow along and share your art journey with me! I look forward to hearing from you.

There will be more acrylic pouring tutorials, abstract acrylic paintings, experiments & techniques coming, if you like to follow me, you can subscribe to my channel and click the bell icon (so you will be notified whenever a new video is up). Also I’d very much appreciate any feedback. And of course I love to challenge myself, so if you have an idea, let me know in the comments and I’ll give it a try!

I am an acrylic pouring addict, without a doubt. Playing with colors, testing out new fluid art techniques, brands, sizes & collaborating with other abstract fluid artists; is the best. Since I started this journey I feel more balanced in my work and passion. If you see these fluid painting tutorials and feel like, this is something for me: go for it! The fun thing about fluid painting is, that even though you do exactly the same, the outcome is different everytime. Also everybody has a different view of composition, colorcombinations and the way of doing a technique, what makes and keeps it so interesting to watch. Thank you for watching and following me in my modern art journey!
