How to paint a Spring Landscape like the Impressionists a Step By Step tutorial.

How to paint a landscape like the Impressionists is a step by step tutorial by Ginger Cook. using heavy body acrylics not oils as was traditional in the late 1800s. This a perfect beginner painting with acrylics.
The Impressionist painters like Monet, Renoir, and Matisse used very small overlapping brush strokes in their painting. They were the first artists to actually paint on location, using oil paints that did not dry for weeks. These small directional brush strokes that overlapped using warm and cool colors gave real vibrancy and lift to the paintings. In this spring landscape with an apple blossom trees Ginger Cook shows you step by step how to use acrylic paints to mimic this style of painting.
