Car Painting: How to get a Car Ready for Paint! Part 3

In this video we take you through the steps of starting from body repair all the way to prepping the panels for the paint booth! A detailed explanation on how to properly use guide coat to identify low spots and defects in the paint primer is demonstrated. @BodeVision came in clutch and we were able to properly weld two holes on the top of the trunk for a seamless finish! I generally paint with Simply Simmons , Creative Mark, Ebony Splendor and Pro Stroke brushes. I also use some Windsor Newton and Ruby Satin Silver
My favorite Brush is Goldilocks or Simply Simmons bright #10 Extra Firm Filament

Cookies and Canvas for Kids – Happy Goldfish painting lesson with yummy cookie recipe!

This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to paint this extremely fun “Happy Goldfish” swimming through tropical water with brightly colored butterfly fins, big googly eyes, and an expressive mouth. Using only 3 brushes and 7 colors we’ll create an energetic painting of this joyful aquatic creature. You’ll learn how to paint ocean water with ripples, use bright colors to add dimension to the fins and body, and how to paint eyes that have life in them. So come discover your inner artist and let’s paint our canvas and eat some cookies!



Canvas: 16×20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 1/2 inch flat bristle brush, #12 round, #2 round brush
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, cobalt blue, phthalo green, chrome yellow, fluorescent orange, fire red, mars black
Other: #2 pencil, palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

1. #2 pencil – Draw outline of fish
2. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint the water with white, blue and green
3. #2 round brush – Paint first layer of the moth and eyes with black and white
4. #12 round brush – Paint the fins with white, yellow, orange and red
5. #12 round brush – Paint the body and head with white, yellow, orange and red
6. #2 round brush – Finish painting the eyes with blue and white
7. #2 round brush – Signature with black

NUTTY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES – Prep Time 10 minutes / Cook Time 8-10 minutes
1 cup salted butter softened
1 cup white (granulated) sugar
1 cup light brown sugar packed
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp sea salt
2 cups chocolate chips (or chunks, or chopped chocolate)
1 cup crushed peanuts

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
2. In a separate bowl mix flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder. Set aside.
3. Cream together butter and sugars until combined.
4. Beat in eggs and vanilla until fluffy.
5. Mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
6. Add chocolate chips and nuts and mix well.
7. Roll 2-3 TBS of dough into balls and place them evenly spaced on your prepared cookie sheets.
8. Bake in preheated oven for approximately 8-10 minutes. Take them out when they are just BARELY starting to turn brown.
9. Let them sit on the baking pan for 2 minutes before removing to cooling rack.

Abstract Portrait Step by Step Acrylic Painting on Canvas for Beginners

In this video, we’re gonna get together and learn how to paint an abstract(ish) portrait that says something about YOU. This is a good lesson for beginners on up!

I’m painting on a 16×20-inch stretched canvas, but you can paint on any type and size of canvas you like.

I used:
• A 2-inch flat brush
• A very small round brush
• A 1/2-inch angle brush

I’m using Liquitex Basics and Heavy Body acrylic paint in the following colors:
• Phthalocyanine Blue
• Ivory Black
• Titanium White
• Mars Black
But I encourage you to use any colors that you like, and paint this portrait and background in any way!
