Aquaman (Jason Momoa) Body Painting Time-Lapse

👑 🔱 Dear Aquaman, I watched your film, and I was overwhelmed with gratitude because you are the first Super Hero that I, myself, as a HAPA, could relate to. Growing up in the 80’s, there weren’t many HAPA where I lived. Your film made the “invisible me” feel visible, and finally made me feel that I had a place in the world. My mother is Caucasian and my deceased father was Japanese. I have never felt like I belonged anywhere, but rather that at the same time I belonged in two places at once. After the movie, I came home and painted this in homage to you, and all of us HAPA who are “sailing in between shores” and building bridges between two worlds.🧜🏼‍♂️ 🧜🏻‍♀️ 🌊 🐠 🦈 🐋
